Astonishing...
I love Astonishing X-men. I cannot wait for the next installment. Toybiz is going to put out an AXM wolverine in series 12 of Marvel Legends line. Well i decided to make my own before it was announced:
i also made my own AXM colossus and kitty:

Kitty was made out of ML6 Phoenix whose head i chopped off accidentally heh. i sculpted over the articulation on the shoulder and upper arm. the head is an original sculpt. Colossus here was made out of S6 boxset Venom and sculpted the armor all over the body.
Lockheed was made out of some Yu-Gi-Oh dragon. I got them really cheap. Re-sculpted the head and arms.

And then there was this. Also a pain in the ass to make.
Ord of the Breakworld was made out of ML Thor. A lot of sculpting was put into this one as well.

I know he rules; but can he rule?
Christopher Walken for President!
Yeah, i was surprised as well. Alas, it was all just a hoax. Dude's scary, know what i mean?

mr. punch

Fell in line, torched by the sun, bought the shirt. Saturday morning was out of the question (having been drinking from Friday night ‘til 6am). Was incredibly excited by Saturday evening. So much so that the wife and I bought enough food from the grocery to feed us for a week. Sunday morning we arrived around 9am. They gave away 200 numbered stubs. We would have been 220th. We stayed. Then caught sight of the man stretching and looking rather beat and worn-out. Decided to leave him be. Came Monday we attended the writer’s forum. I was quite surprised it was an intimate venue. I could spit and I would’ve hit him. Instead I asked a question. He answered and it was as if we were having a conversation. It hit me then that I was a fanboy for the first time. Which is weird since I’ve been collecting comics for the past 20 or so odd years. But then again, he was the first big author to come over and land on these shores.

Gave him a gift through a friend of mine (thanks buddy!). I was hoping he wouldn’t lose it. Me and the wifey’s jaws dropped when after the forum, the British Council gave him a bag full of goodies with my gift inside. And he picked it up, looked at it and smiled. Goddamn. Oh wait! The camera! Moment fleeted. Gone forever but in memory.

Loveliest of Names
And things have come to pass
And I am here at last
And you are here with me
But now things aren't what they used to be
Oh how the years have gone
And how we've come undone
You meant so much to me
But things aren't what they used to be
I remember you
And all the things we used to do
Did you not once hold my hand?
Then i lost you in the shifting sands
Now, what's your name?
I once knew your name
It was the loveliest of names.
(caveat: we own this shit so don't get any ideas)

She-Hulk

Been customizing action figures now for about 5 months. Nasty habit I picked up from doubledealer. I find it very relaxing. It tests my ADD tendencies. Of course while doing this I have to have the TV on. Or music must be blasting. And oh, a magazine or book should always be in arms reach.
Anyway, the custom above is, of course, She-hulk. I was staring at Mezco's Abe Sapien figure and thought it to be just about the right scale, and, with some proper tweaking it could become the suh-xy cousin of that jolly green giant. So while the wife was away, I tore off the blister package that for long has trapped the addictive and noxious yet ironically sweet fumes of PVC and factory press and slowly...slooowlyy....sniffed. AAhhhh.
Then I sanded down the waist, chest, hips and then proceeded to sculpt uhm, boobies. I then boldly attempted to do full head sculpt for the first time. Not too bad it turned out, if i may say so m'self.
